Classroom Assistant & Administrative Consultant
For more than 35 years, Mr. Moore combined his passion for education with his love for children as he served as a teacher and administrator in New York state public schools. After recently retiring and moving to Huntersville with his family, Mr. Moore feels very blessed that God has opened the door for him to serve at GCA.
Mr. Moore holds degrees from the State University of New York as well as Vanderbilt. He also holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from State University of New York Brockport. During his teaching career, Alan has taught Special Education, 1st, 2nd and 4th grades and has also served as an Elementary Principal and Director of Special Education.
Mr. Moore and his wife Colleen have 4 amazing daughters: Elizabeth, Kristen, Emily and Alison. The opportunity to plug in at GCA was truly a “God-thing” and he feels blessed that the GCA family has embraced him so warmly. He looks forward to seeing all that God has in store for the school and is excited to be a part of such an amazing team!
Mr. Moore is enjoying working at a Christian school that has maintained both a highly rigorous academic curriculum and a strong emphasis on faith and prayer during the school day. It is a joy for him to hear the students pray at school!
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
