Becka Rasmussen

Fifth & Sixth Grade Teacher

Biography

For Mrs. Rasmussen, there is nothing more fulfilling than pursuing Christ and fulfilling His call to education. She began her journey in 2010 when she pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at Southeastern University in Lakeland Florida. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014 with endorsements in Reading (K-12), ESOL, Middle School Social Studies, and a Minor in Religion.

Throughout her college career, Mrs. Rasmussen volunteered with a homeless ministry called Gospel Inc. This journey, walking alongside the homeless in Lakeland, led her on numerous missions trips abroad and to join a mission for girls coming out of human trafficking at home. She worked at the group home for one year and couldn’t shake the desire to be in the classroom. She then taught middle school social studies for two and a half years at Oasis Christian Academy in Winter Haven, Florida. She recently moved to the Charlotte community with her husband. She is currently the Children’s Director at CFA Davidson and could not be more excited to join the Grace Covenant Academy team. She can’t wait to work towards making history and literature come alive in an interactive, hands-on, and engaging classroom!
