Fifth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Vergara realized her passion and call to teaching as a senior in high school when she got to intern in a 3rd grade classroom at the K-12 christian school that she attended. She received her degree in Elementary Education from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. After college and a summer in Bulgaria working with children in a mountain village she moved to Miami, FL where she taught 3rd grade. She then decided it was time to move home and made the long journey back to Anchorage, AK where she has been teaching for the last 7 years.
Mrs. Vergara and her husband Chris decided to make the long drive from Alaska to Concord,NC this past spring. They are thrilled for this new adventure. She is also excited that God has led her to GCA and is looking forward to a great year.
Mrs. Vergara is looking forward to working with fellow Christian educators and parents to raise up students who love God and love learning. She has a passion for Christian education and the blessing to get to walk alongside students as they grow in their relationship with our Savior.
If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
