Joy McDaniel and her husband Justin live in Cornelius with their two daughters, Taylor and Avery, both of whom attend Grace Covenant Academy. This will be the McDaniel family’s fifth year at GCA. Joy graduated from the College of Charleston and then went on to the Medical University of South Carolina to obtain her Master’s degree. She has spent the last 4 years as a substitute preschool teacher at Bethel Presbyterian and Grace Covenant Academy. Five years ago, the McDaniel family moved to Cornelius. Joy feels that God guided them to GCA where both of her children have flourished. It is Joy’s aspiration to partner with the parents of her students to build a foundation for learning and a knowledge of God’s love.
Joy loves the partnership that GCA provides, partnership that focuses on not just the academic growth of their students but the spiritual growth as well. The feeling of unity among teachers, staff, students, and families is something that Joy greatly values.
