“The one who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it.”
Grace Covenant Academy is blessed to have Kim Goodwin leading with humility and strength! She is a gifted teacher and leader. Mrs. Goodwin spent 4 years in public education in her home state of Texas, both teaching in an elementary setting and serving in an administrative role. God answered the desire of Mrs. Goodwin’s heart to include her love for education and children with her love for Christ by bringing her to North Carolina to start GCA. She truly believes teaching and working with children is the most fulfilling job possible. She says “Knowing that you are helping children learn who God created them to be and how big His love is for them, coupled with engaging their minds in excellent academics, is a perfect job!”
Mrs. Goodwin graduated with her Bachelors from Howard Payne University and her Masters in Educational Leadership from Texas Women’s University. Mrs. Goodwin moved to North Carolina in 2001 to help begin Grace Covenant Academy. After growing up in small town Texas where relationships and community became a big part of who Mrs. Goodwin is, she wasn’t sure if she would ever experience the family environment that she had known most of her life. She loves that GCA has a diverse staff who each brings something unique and special to this school community. Mrs. Goodwin is passionate about helping each person fulfill their God-given purpose and GCA is the place where she sees that being lived out daily.
Mrs. Goodwin is married to Jesse and the proud mom of Livi, a GCA third grade student, and Luke, GCA first grader.
