When Mrs. Popowitch was in high school she helped her dad teach his Sunday School classes and this is when she knew she wanted to be a teacher. Mrs. Popowitch loves working with children and seeing their eyes light up the when they learn new things. She secretly says the reason she wants to be a teacher is so that she can spend her days coloring (so therapeutic!).
Mrs. Popowitch attended Liberty University for undergrad, earning her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She continued on at Liberty and took a semester of seminary classes in Missions. She began teaching 2nd grade at Goodview Elementary in Virginia and completed her Masters degree in Literacy and Language online through Kaplan University. After 5 years in Virginia teaching both 1st grade and 2nd grade, Mrs. Popowitch and husband moved to NC. She taught a combined 2nd/3rd grade class at Chesterbrook and 2nd grade at Lake Norman Christian.
Mrs. Popowitch and her husband have been married for 13 years. Mrs. Popowitch and her husband have daughter Charlotte, a GCA student, and Holden, who is still at home.
Mrs. Popowitch enjoys working in a Christian atmosphere and helping raise up young followers of the Lord. To be able to openly discuss and pray with and for your students is such an incredible experience.
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
