Fourth Grade Teacher
Olivia Brown decided to become a teacher while serving through a missions program in Pemba, Mozambique. “I felt like God put it on my heart to return to the US as a teacher. I have always believed it to be a huge privilege to encourage children and dream with them of the wonderful possibilities that God has provided especially for them. We are all God’s workmanship. The chance to help kids grow in curiosity, wisdom, knowledge, and in revelation of their Savior is a gift that I do not take lightly.” Ms. Brown grew up in North Carolina and has stayed connected to Grace Covenant Church for almost 20 years. After graduating high school, Ms. Brown served with Youth With a Mission in California, Kenya, Asia, and Nicaragua. She returned to North Carolina to pursue a degree in Elementary Education and graduated from UNC Charlotte with a minor in Children’s Literature. Ms. Brown loves to read, create, and spend time outside. With a passion for education from a Christian perspective, Ms. Brown is excited to teach at GCA!
GCA is a school that values humility, compassion, excellence, honor, and personal relationship with God. These are values that I share and believe in, and I am excited to join the team!
The Lord your God is with you, He is Mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
