Enrollment Steps
From the time your application is received, this process will take approximately 2-3 weeks.
Step 1: Application
Submit an application along with the necessary application fee ($65 for Early Education / $125 for K-Grade 8). Applications are handled in the order received. We will notify you via email if a seat is available or if your child will be placed on the waitlist.
If a seat is available, you will have 48 hours to accept the seat and continue to move through the enrollment process. Failure to respond will result in forfeiture of your seat.
Once an online application has been submitted, any parents applying for their students to enroll in Grades 1 – 8, the following additional documents must be submitted. All documents must be received prior to the Family Interview in order to proceed through the enrollment process.
- Confidential Recommendation form (sent directly from the current school to GCA)
- Most recent report card and any standardized test reports
- Pastor/Coach Recommendation form (Grades 6 – 8 students only)
Step 2: Entrance Testing (as needed)
Early Education Students
All students entering as new students into the Early Education program at GCA will be asked to participate in developmental screenings. There is no fee for screenings.
Kindergarten Students
All applying Kindergarten students will be required to complete a Kindergarten evaluation prior to finalizing enrollment. There is no fee for this evaluation.
Elementary and Middle School Students
If school records are not able to be submitted with the application or are incomplete, entrance testing may be required. The fee for entrance testing is $65 per student.
The admissions office will work with families to schedule all entrance testing as needed within a 1–2-week time frame.
Step 3: Family Interview & Student Shadowing
Upon full completion of all application documents (recommendation forms and records/testing results) parents will be asked to set up a family interview. Both applying parents must be present for the family interview, along with any applying students. This is your opportunity to discuss any questions you have and discover what it means to be a partner at GCA. The admissions office will follow up after the family interview to provide instructions on completing the enrollment process (forms and fees).
Any students applying to Grades 4 – 8 will be required to come for an additional hour shadowing opportunity ahead of any interview appointment time. During the shadow day new students will participate in classroom activities, get to know current students, and meet with GCA teachers.
Step 4: Enrollment
After the family interview and shadow day has been completed, parents will be emailed instructions to complete your child’s online enrollment forms and submit the enrollment fee ($125 for Early Education / $375 for K-Grade 8). All enrollment forms and fees should be submitted online within ten business days from the date of the family interview.
