Our Three-Year-Olds program is an introduction to preschool and the place where our youngest students begin to learn social skills such as sharing, taking turns, using our words to communicate our thoughts and needs, and discover what it means to be part of a group.
Daily activities include free play, centers, and circle time where songs, counting and group discussions begin. Weather observations, days of the week, and classroom jobs give students opportunities to contribute to the class and develop responsible behaviors. Arts and crafts reflect a particular letter, number, or seasonal event as well as free exploration of various art styles and mediums.
Our three-year-olds learn to expand their vocabulary and language skills with Word Time – a Language Arts program designed to boost children’s vocabulary, thinking, and speaking skills through participation in friendly, active lessons.
Counting and pre-math skills are introduced to the interested learner through manipulatives and choice center play. Fine and Gross motor skills are introduced through sensory toys and activities while dramatic play allows their imaginations to soar!
Children must be 3 years old on or before August 31 of the current school year and must be potty-trained to qualify for any of our Three-Year-Old classes.
We offer the following three-year-old classes:
